Show BAC Receives Life Membership in Pioneer Group I- ; .W:;.V ;-. ) - William H. Leigh, center, local member , of the American Pioneer Trails Association, Associa-tion, this week presented the Branch Agricultural Ag-ricultural college with a life membership in the organization, and is shown presenting pre-senting an autographed volume of "West- ward America" to Donald K. Nelson, librarian li-brarian at the school. The book was written writ-ten by Howard R. Driggs, former director of the BAC. Looking on at the presentation presenta-tion is William R. Palmer, a life member of the pioneer association. Branch Ags Receive Life Membership in Pioneer Association A life membership in the American Pioneer Trails Association Associa-tion has been donated to Branch Agricultural college by William H. Leigh, Cedar City business- j man, it was announced by Dr. , H. Wayne Driggs, director. With the life membership was given a copy of "Westward Amer-ica", Amer-ica", by Howard R. Driggs, former for-mer BAC director. The volume, which chronicles the westward trek of the pioners, is one of a limited edition personally autographed auto-graphed by the author and the artist. William H. Jackson has done the full color plates In the volume. The life membership also entitles en-titles the college to all future maps and supplementary publications publi-cations by the association, Dr. Driggs said. Similar memberships have been given as gifts to Princeton University and a few other Institutions. |
