Show Eight Cedar Student Enrolled At B. Y. U. For Autumn Quarter Provo. Eight students from Cedar City are listed In Brigham Young University's record autumn registration regis-tration of 4.586 students, It Is announced an-nounced by Registrar John E. Hayes. Forming the largest enrollment In the history of the university are students from 43 states, the District of Columbia, Alaska. Hawaii, and eight foreign countries. Two-fifths of them are veterans. Students enrolled from Cedar City are: Madelon Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erostus L. Jones; Wll-ma Wll-ma Mendenhall, daughter of Mr. and Mm. J. W. Mendenhall; Reed Ros-enburg, Ros-enburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Rosenberg; Jay O. Thorley, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Thorley; Lois Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Halght; Edythe Adams, daughter of Mr. John A. Adams; Donald B. Ford, son of Ardella B. Ford; and David Kent Riddle, son of Mrs. Loreta B. Heyborne. All eight students are graduates from the Cedar City high school, and all except Mr. Riddle attended attend-ed Branch Agricultural college, at Cedar City. In addition, all four men are veterans, Mr. Rosenberg having had 33 months service In the Air Corps; Mr. Riddle having served 18 months In the Air Corps, Mr. Thorley having hav-ing completed three years In the Army, and Mr Ford spent 37 months In the Air Corps. Also enrolled from the Cedar City area are Lamar Lund, Modena, son of Mrs. Ethel I. Lund, Cedar City; Clara Williams, Kanarra, daughter of Mrs. Juanita Williams, Henderson, Hender-son, Nevada; Laurie Dea Thompson, Thomp-son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jos-eph W. Thompson, Cannonvllle; Grace Kaze, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Selji Kaze, Beryl. Mr. Lund Is also a veteran, with 21 months of service with the Army. |
