Show Five B.A.C. Students, Faculty Member In Automobile Wreck Five students and one member of the Branch Agricultural college faculty narrowly escaped serious in-Jury in-Jury Sunday afternoon when the college station wagon in which they i were riding skidded and overturned ' on the highway near Summit. The group, student body officers of the college, and their faculty advisor, were returning to Cedar City after attending a student officers convention conven-tion at Mesa college in Grand Junction, Junc-tion, Colorado. Injured were Richard M. Rowley, Instructor in English and advisor on student publications at the college; col-lege; Wlllard Armstrong, Cedar City, Ci-ty, student body president; June Decker, Parowan, student vice president; pres-ident; Marian Louise Stewart, Alamo, Ala-mo, Nevada, student secretary; Gloria Spendlove, Hurricane, editor of the student newspaper, and L C. Miles, Jr., athletic representative. The three women were taken to the hospital for treatment, but Miss Decker and Miss Stewart were released re-leased the next day. Miss Spendlove Spend-love was the most seriously injured suffering a fracture of the collar bone and severe shock. All are recovering re-covering satisfactorily. The station wagon Is reported to have skidded on the wet roadway and overturned twice, and was badly bad-ly damaged. |
