j YCA Reports Huge Pilcheblende Deposit Officials of the Vanadium Corporation of America have reported "the largest pitchblende showing in place of any mine in Utah" 1 at their Marysvale property. They cautioned, however, that mining costs in the Marysvale district are "exceptionally high." Company vice-president D. W. Viles, expres. sing belief the VCA Marysvale operation will be "one of the largest producers in the country." stated the VCA "has spent a huge sum developing the mine to its present stage," The property Included the Pratt Scegmiller claims, the first uranium discovery claims in the Marysvale district. VCA has been developing the mine for four years, and is now working "some ore" at a vertical depth of 750 feet.
