i Sidney Mining Co. Announces Operations WALLACE, Idaho. The Sidney Mining Company and Mascot Mines, Inc., have signed an agreement to engage In a major uranium mining venture In the uranium fields of Colorado and Utah, according to an official announcement released Jointly by Malcolm C. Brown, president of Sidney Mining, and Robert Brown, president of Mascot Mines. The two companies have acquired, the announcement says, a group of 36 claims In the Thomp- son Mining District of Utah, lying between two of the more Import" ant uranium producing regions of the Colorado Plateau. At the same time Mascot Mines sold to Sidney a one-half Interest In the Alto group of nine claims In the Gate way mining district of Colorado, which Mascot had purchased earlier this year. The two groups have been selected for exploration and development, as a result of months spent In the study and Inspection of the Colorado Plateau.
