Perhaps no other event on Pioneer Days cranes closer to matching the spirit, determination and pain that the original pioneers went through to reach this valley than does the marathon race. This is the 15th year for the marathon and it has been expanded this race in year to include a 10,000-mete- r conjunction with the marathon. This event will also be held on July 24th, starting at 6 a m.
