Political experience: My prior political experience has been solely in the position of president of various Homeowners' Associations including the Master Association of Silver Springs of which I was a founder. I have been politically active from days in California in local politics to a self-appointed self-appointed watch dog of the present administration in Summit County. I was President of Women Lawyers Association in California, and sponsored , mandates for representation of children in divorce and custody cases. Community service experience: By writing for the publication The Summit County Bee, I performed public service bringing the public in North and South Summit the reports of the activities of the Board of County Commissioners, the local Town Council meetings, the local news and editorials. As a further public service, I was instrumental in registering opposition to the invasion of the meadow at Kimball Junction by the Kmart Corp. to the point of filing an appeal with the Board of County Commissioners and a law suit against the developers and landowner, Jarman. Platform: I am running for County Commissioner because I support carefully planned development and job creation while preserving ouu quality of life. This takes the knowledge and understanding of the many segments of our society. I will work for us all. It is a well known fact that an area cannot subsist on residential development alone; this County has an abundance of human resources that are seeking employment in other areas due to the lack of opportunities on their own doorsteps. Economically the County must develop clean industry to maintain. It (the County) must not depend solely on the ski industry for its economy. Gary Weiss ' rXff V. " Dine Like Pavarotti, For A Song.
