Show Christensen named new mission pres. SALT LAKE CITY A Bountiful Boun-tiful man is among four new mission mis-sion presidents called by the Fust Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a spokesman said Monday. The newly called mission leaders, whose specific assignments will be announced later, are Ned L. Christensen, Bountiful; David C. Heslington, Salt Lake City, Donald D. Hooks, Tucson, Ariz.; and Elmo L. Robinson, Jr., Friendswood, Texas. President Christensen, 54, is a former accountant and retired federal fed-eral government employee. He has recently been serving as a departmental depart-mental director at Church headquarters. head-quarters. He is a native of Lev an, and a business administration graduate of the University of Utah. He has served the church as a stake president ' s counselor, bishop s counselor and branch president President Christensen 's wife, Carl a Maxfield Christensen, is a native of Salt Lake City and attended attend-ed the University of Utah. She has served the church as a Relief Society Socie-ty president and counselor and Beehive advisor. The Christensens are parents of three children. President Heslington, 39, is a vice president and account manager for Johnson and Higgins. He is a native of Salt Lake City and is a graduate of the University of Utah, where he also received his master's degree. He also attended the American Graduate School of International In-ternational Management, where he received a master's degree. He has served the church as a stake president ' s counselor and stake Young Men president He is a member of the Salt Lake Rotary Club and is a Salt Lake RESULTS Group partner. President Heslington Hesl-ington 's wife, Linda Karen Neilson Heslington, is a native of Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah. President Hooks, 58, is the president presi-dent and owner of Hooks Oil, Inc. He is a native of Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., and attended Arizona State University. He has served the church as a stake president, stake president's counselor, bishop and bishop's counselor. He has served as charter president of the Cases Adobes Rotary Club and also in the Tucson Chamber of Commerce. President Robinson, 46, is president presi-dent of American Craftsman 3 Homes, Inc. He is a native of El : Paso, Texas, and a graduate of the j University of Utah, where he also : received his master's degree. He has served the church as a stake president, stake president' s counselor, stake mission president, bishop and bishop's counselor.
