Show Vocal school seeks auditions from locals BOUNTIFUL Davis County residents are invited to audition for registrants of the Fifth Annual International In-ternational Vocal School Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Promised Valley Playhouse lobby, 132 S. State, Salt Lake City. The school will be held July 8-20. This outstanding opportunity is again being offered to operatic and classical singers who lack the assistance or funds needed for traveling to different areas of the world for specialized training required re-quired to enhance the probability of a future career in singing. Conceived by and under the direction of Iain McKay, and in association with Temple Square Concert Series, this unique procedure pro-cedure of bringing the "Mountain 4 to Mohammed" has been met with enthusiasm by world-renowned artists, ar-tists, teachers and administrators who will travel to Salt Lake City to instruct the participants. Those auditioning should be prepared to sing excerpts from their classical repertoire and bring their own accompanist. Those unable to attend the live audition may submit a tape cassette. Tapes need not be professionally produced but should be of sufficient quality and length to allow proper assessment.
