Show Facelift at Green River visitor center, constructing a public parking area at the visitor center, relocating the boat launch access road, upgrading the boat launch, moving the backpacker parking and several campsites will be constructed con-structed for horse users nearby. The project is being undertaken to solve crowding, environmental damage, and safety problems and to provide better services for visitors. To provide visitors with more reserved re-served campsites during the construction con-struction period Mistix now has four sites listed at New Fork Narrows Campground approximately approximate-ly 30 mile south of the Green River Lakes. Reservations can be made by calling 1 -800-28 2-CAMP at least 10 days before one needs the reservations. GREEN RIVER Visitors to Green River Lakes on the Pinedale Ranger District in 1993 will find more campsites and upgraded facilities to greet them. The campground cam-pground will be closed for the summer of 1992 in order to log dead and dying trees, and to construct con-struct new campground facilities. Dispersed camping will be available for forest visitors. The trail he ad facilities will also be available. The construction plans call for adding approximately 15 campsites to the existing 23 sites, installing new vault toilets, and developing a new spring and transmission line to provide a greater and more dependable depen-dable water supply. Additional improvements to be made either in 1992 or 1993 will include in-clude remodeling the existing |
