Show Woods Cross falls to Judge, 10-6 A- ' k f ' " j .9 r r ' v . - ' - By DIRK FACER Sports Editor WOODS CROSS After giving giv-ing up 10 runs and committing a handful of costly errors in its region six opener with Judge, the youthful Woods Cross baseball team is hoping hop-ing to improve with experience. Like a fine wine, time may be the telling factor for Coach Stevs Lindsay's Lind-say's sluggers. Tuesday afternoon, the Wildcats dropped a 10-6 decision deci-sion to the Bulldogs with miscues being the order of the day. "Wc can't win when we give ihera 10 runs," said Lindsay. "We made too many mistakes. We also could have used a few more hits, but we just made too many mental mistakes." However, the Woods Cross coach is far from throwing in the towel after just one game. We want to get better every game," said Lindsay. "And that's our goal." The Wildcat line-up is comprised of four seniors, two juniors and a handful of sophomores. Viewmont 8, Bonneville 2 OGDEN Viewmont opened region one play with an 8-2 victory over Bonneville Tuesday. The Vikings Vik-ings capitalized on a three-run first inning en route to securing the victory. vic-tory.
