Show Local tracksters perform well at meets darkness stopped the meet. It will probably not be finished in the future. Top finishers for the Braves included in-cluded Brian Wright in the 100 meters, Chad Blackburn with a second se-cond place finish in the 400, a sweep by Jason Peterson, Adam Smith and Brad Knoles in the 800 meters; a first by Peterson and third by Dryer in the 1600, a first place by Lance Palmer and third by Dan Messick in the 3200 meters, a first in the high jump by Wells Wilkinson, Wilkin-son, and two firsts in the hurdles by Phil Tate. Tate also took second in the pole vault. For the Lady Braves, winners and placers included Jenny Gardner, first in the high jump and second in the javelin; Missy Frodsham, seconds in both the 100 and 200 meters; Amy Wall, first in the 400; a sweep of the 800 meters by Carolyn Doxey, Heidi Westergard and Natalie Moon; a first by Doxey and second by Elizabeth Mabey in the 1600; and a second by Amy Smith in the javelin. Next Wednesday's schedule finds Bountiful at Tooele and Woods Cross at Murray, followed on Friday and Saturday by the first invitational of the year, the Track Coaches Association meet at Cottonwood Cot-tonwood High. By TOM HARALDSEN Clipper Correspondent Woods Cross captured both ends of a dual meet from Judge Memorial Wednesday afternoon in Q local prep track action, while Bountiful Boun-tiful was leading both Jordan and West in a triangular meet that was called by darkness in Sandy. At Woods Cross, the Wildcat boys drilled Judge 93-38, while the girls won 93-38. Leading the way for the Wildcats were Pete Mc-Conkie Mc-Conkie with first in both hurdle Oaces and as part of the winning 400 . - clay team, Bryan Ashby in the 100 -jtnd 200 meters and on the 400 vieter relay, Dave Marx in the 400 v" and 800 meters, Paul Hatch in the high jump, and Beau Etling in the discus, long jump and javelin. Etling Etl-ing also placed second in the 110 hurdles, with Craig Erickson third. Andrew Scivally was third at 1600 meters, Brandon Allen took second in the 400, John Hall and Craig Erickson went second-third in the 300 hurdles, Jeremy Eggett and Ryan Borrow man went second-third second-third in the 200, Rob Casper placed second in the discus, Jeremy Mann- 0 ing was second in the long jump, and Tyler Allred and Dave McBride went second-third in the high jump. Reusch won the shot put for the 'Cats. In girls events, the top performer was Michelle Devey, who took first in the 200 meters, second in the 100, and first in both the 400 and 1600 relays. Angie Cook and Andrea An-drea Root finished one-two in the 100 hurdles, Natalie Anderson was first in the 100, second in the 200 and part of the 400 relay team that took first; Celeste Smith won the 400 meters and was part of the 400 relay team, Jenny Heap took second in the 400 and 3200 meters, Tracey Clark and Jennifer Gerber were second se-cond and third in the 300 hurdles, Allison Goodrich won the 800 and was part of the winning 1600 relays, and Melissa Trinnaman was part of the winning 400 and 1600 relay teams. In field events, Meridee Nielsen won the shot with Amy Pascoe second, se-cond, Nielsen and Pascoe went one-two one-two in the discus, Ester Haws took first and Kandi "Grandstand" Savage Sav-age was second in the high jump, Haws and Marci Thomas went one-two one-two in the long jump and Nielsen won the javelin.
