Show Pyle pleads guilty during arraignment PAROWAN Christian Wayne Pyle has pleaded guilty in Fifth District Court to three counts of burglary, all third degree felonies. Pyle was originally charged with six counts of burglary resulting from investigations in-vestigations of burglaries April 4 through 7 of the Top Spot, the Fabric Care Center, Kentucky Fried Chicken, the Computer Room and the Hair Styling Shop. A plea bargaining agreement was reached wherein three of the charges were dismissed for the guilty plea to the other three charges. Judge J. Harlan Burns ordered a 45-' 45-' day pre-sentence report in the matter be conducted by the Department of Adult Probation and Parole. In other action during the law and motion days, Michael Ray McFarlane, 22, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted bigamy, a class A misdemeanor. He was originally charged with bigamy, a third degree felony. Judge Burns didn't pass judgement on the case, but placed McFarlane on one year's probation. One term of the probation was that he spend 90 days in the Iron County Jail; this was suspended as long as McFarlane maintained gainful employment. David LeRoy Smith pleaded guity to a class A misdemeanor, theft by receiving stolen property. He was originally charged with a third degree felony, but, through plea bargaining, the charge was reduced in return for the guilty plea. Judge Burns ordered a pre-sentence report by the Department of Adult Probation and Parole. David Don Abernathie, Jeri Ray Schriven and Michael David Johnson pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicle burglary, a third degree felony; burglary, a second degree felony; and theft by receiving, a second degree felony. A trial date will be set. Sheldon Lynn Shreve, who was previously convicted of a third degree felony, production of a controlled substance, was sentenced to the Utah State Prison for 0 to 5 years. David Benson Abbott, who is serving a sentence in the Iron County Jail was granted a work release program, since he has found a job. David Warren Fowler pleaded guilty to assault, a class B misdemeanor. He was sentenced to six months in the Iron County Jail. |
