The Rams face Milford tomorrow night in Parowan beginning at 7:30. i PAROWAN There were some good points for the Parowan Rams in Region 12 football action last weekend, despite the fact that they were chewed on by the Beaver Beavers 56 to 2. "There were some bright spots for us,", said Ram coach Scott Doubek. "We looked great in spots; again, inconsistency in-consistency hurt us." Doubek lauded Doug Spendlove for his excellent play defensively, saying he had a "super" game. The PHS mentor also praised Doug Rogerson for his kicking efforts, along with praising several others for their individual efforts. ef-forts. "I wasn't really too disappointed in anybody," explained Doubek. Inconsistency In-consistency plagued the Rams, as it has all year. Beaver led 14-2 at the end of the first quarter. There's no shame to trailing an always potent Beaver by that margin, but then the roof caved in. The chompers sharpened their teeth between bet-ween quarters and by halftime led 42-2. Parowan has had the problem all season of allowing one big scoring quarter per contest. They play a team fairly tough except for a one quarter blowout that really hurts. Beaver compiled 267 yards rushing and 129 passing for a total offensive output 61 396 yards and 13 first downs. Parowan could manage only 46 offensive of-fensive yards on the evening. Most of Beaver's scoring was done on the ground. "They've got a good ground game," said Doubek. The cold, wet weather provided ideal conditions for Beaver to grind out big yardage on the ground. In the first quarter, Beaver scored on a run by Eric Dotson and a Steve Hutchings to Scott Yardley pass. The Rams score came on a safety which occurred when the Beaver punter touched his knee in the Beaver end zone. The boys from the north had four rushing touchdowns in the second period.
