V The first test costs $22; subsequent tests if ;taken, .the ;same day or . during ' the same . month cost $18 each. . "This .means that an individual can earn a year's credit for around $75, several hundred dollars less than he or she would pay for a year's tuition costs," Dunford said. "Add the amount of time saved to this and the benefits available through CLEP are very good indeed ." Up to 48 credit hours, the equivalent of a year's schooling, can be earned at Southern Utah State College by those suc- , cessfully completing general education, tests offered through the " C o 1 1 e ge -L e v e 1 Examination Program. - Held several times during the year at SUSC,. . ihe next CLEP testing date is Oct. 16. The national testing program, better known to thousands as CLEP, was 'established in 1971 so that individuals can earn college credit for what they've learned no matter how or where they learned it which is directly applied to college |
