The contest was one of the activities featured during homecoming week at Cedar High School. 0' v Durrell Cox (left) and Ann Judd kept things moving fast on the kitchen end as 825 people were served a spaghetti dinner in a two-hour period last week. Chairmen Cox and Judd expressed appreciation on behalf of the Senior Class for the excellent support given the project by the townspeople. -Proceeds will go toward the Senior Class trip. Two serving lines facilitated the project. . Seniors from Cedar High School enjoy whitewashing the "C" and each other during Homecoming. The whitewashing of the "C" by the senior class is a traditional part of homecoming each year at Cedar High School. Cedar's homecoming a success A pep rally, snake dance, parade and a victory over Dixie High School were just some of ' the highlights of the Cedar High School homecoming conducted this past week. . Homecoming week ran. Sept. 28 through"Oct. 3" and was filled with many exciting activities and events. The theme was "The Times of Your Life," and a special invitation in-vitation was extended throughout the week to members of the class of '77. The week began Monday with the final voting in the homecoming queen contest, a pie eating contest and the cleaning of the "C" by members pf the junior class. The decision of the queen contest was announced, an-nounced, in the queen's assembly Tuesday. Also enjoyed Tuesday were a licorice eating contest and the white washing of the "C" by members of the senior class. Activities on Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday, included a bubble gum blowing contest, an egg catching contest and the annual fun-filled pep-rally, pep-rally, bon-f ire and snake dance down Main Street. Friday" was packed with excitement as first the homecoming assembly was viewed, followed by . the homecoming parade, the senior spaghetti dinner, , and concluding that nieht with , an exciting homecoming victory over the Dixie High School football team. Homecoming week was brought to a close Saturday night with the homecoming dance. Homecoming festivities fes-tivities were well attended and enjoyed by all those participating, and the . week was considered to be a great success. The Mohey Tawa and marching mar-ching band, recently returned from competition where they received second place, performed during half-lime half-lime at the t'HS homecoming game last Friday. |
