Show Prevention Program to begin PAROWAN With the opening of the hunting season near at hand and the holiday season ap- i proaching, Chief Wayne Townsend of the Parowan Police Department, , recently cautioned citizens to be more security minded, both in their homes and away 1 from home in their trucks and automobiles. "The months of October, Oc-tober, November and December are statistically higher in burglaries than the other months of the year, due mainly to the large influx of people," he said. "The Operation Identification program deals with home and vehcicle security and the identification of personal property." The Parowan Police Department has pur-, chased electric engravers which may be checked out by citizens to mark their valuables. Officers are also available to give group presentations on home and business security. Operation In-dentification In-dentification will assist local police agencies in the identification and recovery of stolen property. In addition to a more speedy return of the victims' property, said Townsend. Citizens of the Parowan area are encouraged to contact the police for further information on this new program. |
