Show Registration deadline for election approaches The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 3 general election is fast approaching ap-proaching according to area officials. The general deadline is Oct. 13, 20 days before the general election, said Carma Hulet, deputy Iron County clerk. Voters can register at the County courthouse in Parowan or at the City offices in Cedar City, 43 N. 300 West. However, added Cedar City Manager Joe Melling, that is the date for the forms to be into the Courthouse; thus, anyone who registers in Cedar City must do so by Friday. For those who can't make the deadline there will be special registration dates on Oct. 27 and 28. Registering at that time can only be done at special registration agents in each district. According to Melling, one must be 18 years old and have been a resident of Utah for 30 days before the election date. Also, everyone who has moveed from one voting district to another must register to vote. |
