Show Bank board names Hunter College, he was President of the LDSSA, was a student body officer and received the "Wall Street Journal" award. He graduated in 1970 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Utah National Guard from 1962 to 1970. Currently Hunter is a member of the Cedar Livestock Association Board, a member of the Iron County ASCS Committee and was president of the Iron County Farm Bureau from 1973 to 1980. He was also appointed by Governor Matheson to the Steering Committee of the "Agenda for the Eighties" in mid-1980. Hunter has also served in numerous positions in his church. He presently is the first councilor of the Cedar North Stake Young Men Presidency. A life-long resident of Iron County and local rancher has been named to the Board of Directors of State Bank of Southern Utah it was announced recently by Loren A. Whetton, Chairman of the Board. Named to the position was Brent F. Hunter, currently manager of a family farming-livestock operation, the Hunter Land and Livestock Co.. He lives in Cedar Valley with his wife, Farol Pugmire Hunter, and their five children, Lonn, Heidi, Brandon, Jill and Craig. "I feel it a great honor to serve with State Bank's distinguished board of directors," said Mr. Hunter. He also indicated that he has enjoyed working with State Bank since he and his wife first borrowed money from State Bank to purchase their first car while Brent was a student at SUSC. Born in 1945 to Grant R. and Odessa F. Hunter, he attended Cedar City schools, graduating from Cedar City High School in 1963. In high school he was active in music and drama and was a member of the school's track team. Hunter was called to serve a mission for the LDS Church in Northern England, where he also served as assistant to the president. While attending Southern Utah State |
