Show TOQUERVILLE j Mrs. Rowena W. Slack Mrs. Lois Iverson Reporters Wayne Porter spent the past week here from Smithfield visiting with his mother, Mrs. Walter Slack. Mrs. Merlin Hirschi and two children were week end visitors - here. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Beatty of Kanab are visiting here this week. Miss Sylvia Beatty spent the past week here from Ogden with her father, G. I. Beatty. Pvt. Wayne Abbott spent Friday Fri-day and Saturday here with his wife and son. Pvt. Abbott is in military training at Barstow, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fish and Ardith Fish of Richfield spent three days of last week visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Aguier left Friday for Ogden where Mr. Aguier has employment. They have spent the summer here with Mrs. Aguier's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Bringhurst. Mrs. Eldon Barnum and son, Jimmy are visiting in Mesquite. Mr. and Mrs. Elsworth Hill of Los Angeles visited Sunday at the home of Mr. Hill's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Bringhurst. Charles Bringhurst left Friday for Ogden for an extended visit. Tuesday evening the Mothers' Service club entertained for Cpl. George Slack and Pvt. Donald Duffin, who were home on furlough. fur-lough. These boys were both pleased to be able to meet with the townspeople in another social. The main feature of the evening eve-ning was the presentation of a service flag by the club of the town. This flag represents our boys in the service. Most of the evening was spent in dancing, a lunch and program. Miss Kisie Kleinman returned home Saturday after spending the past three months at business college. col-lege. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Adams left Tuesday for Logan on business. busi-ness. Miss Laurel Jackson of Salt Lake City visited over the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Jackson. Mrs. A. D. Wilson of Twin Falls, Ida., Mrs. Milo Watson and Mrs. Onzell Weech of Compton, Calif.; and Leon Slack of Los Angeles An-geles are visiting this week at the home of their mother, Mrs. Caroline Caro-line A. Slack. Mrs. Antone Bowler and children child-ren and Miss Maxine Slack left Saturday for Denver. Pvt. and Mrs. Donald Duffin left Saturday for Cedar City. Cpl. George Slack left Friday for his new location at Fort Ben-ning, Ben-ning, Ga. |
