Show Robert Estep, Hunter Dies of Heart Trouble The first hunting casualty in Washington county for 1944, was Robert Estep, 58, of Covina, Calif. He died about 10 p. m., Sunday, Oct. 23, of heart attack, at the Bowler deer camp, located at the old Moody corral on the Moody Wash, near Gunlock. He had spent the day hunting and made his kill, retiring early, and died quietly in his sleep after retiring. Mr. Estep is well known to many local hunters, having come to this area for the past several years. He was accompanied this year as usual by friends from California. He has served as district dis-trict road supervisor of Los Angeles An-geles county for the past 30 years, and held that position at the time" of his death. The body was brought to St. George under the direction of Sheriff Antone B. Prince, who was called to the Bowler deer camp to investigate the man's death, and was prepared at the Pickett Mortuary. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pickett left Tuesday with the body for Covina, where services and burial will be held this week end. His family were notified early Monday of his death. |
