Show Full Day's Program Planned for Armistice Day By Legion-Auxiliary Program Includes Parade, Talks, Wrestling, Amateur Rodeo and Dance Another big Armistice Day program pro-gram is in the process of creation reports Kuman Williams, publicity director for the American Legion and Auxiliary who are combining to put over the program. The program, as planned, will have something of interest from morning morn-ing until midnight, states Mr. Williams. Starting off the program will be a parade at 9 a. m. This will be followed by the program in the Tabernacle. This program will feature Pres. Glenn E. Snow in an Armistice Day address. Musical Musi-cal numbers and other features will round out the program. In th afternoon there will be a non-profesional rodeo which will be under the direction of the American Legion with John P. Atkin as chairman. This will be another bang-up show declares Mr. Atkin. At 8:30 p. m. in the college gymnasium, Ira Dern will present wrestling matches featuring Chief Thunderbird, a real Indian Chief and Stanley Mayslack, Russian, bearded giant. There will also be other events of interest. Following the wrestling events, the day's program will be completed comp-leted with a big Armistice Day dance in the recreation hall. Other chairmen for the day are as follows: Ken Cannon, parade chairman; Vernon Worthen, program pro-gram chairman; Ez McArthur, athletic chairman and Mathew Bentley, dance chairman. |
