Show Advance d John W. Booth, 24, of St. George, engineer and top-turret gunner on a B-24 Liberator heavy bomber with the 15th Air Force somewhere in Italy, was recently advanced to the rating of technical techni-cal sergeant. He is a son of the William Booth of St. George. Before entering military service in Oct., 1942, he was employed as a truck driver at Ogden Quartermaster Quarter-master depot for a brief period. Since arriving overseas in June, 1944, he has flown on 43 missions, participating in attacks on important im-portant Nazi targets. Roger Pickett figures he is lucky to get his furlough in time to participate in the buck hunt. He arrived Monday from Hondo, Texas, where he -is located on special assignment. |
