Show Miss Nellie Snow Buried In Indian Reservation Cemetery October 22nd SHEVWTT INDIAN RESERVATION, RESERVA-TION, Santa Clara, Utah. Foster Charles, Indian, was in charge of the funeral services held here Sunday. Oct. 22, for Miss Nellie Snow, 27, who died at the McGregor Mc-Gregor hospital, Friday, Oct. 20, at 1:45 a.m., from complications following an emergency appendectomy. append-ectomy. The services were held at 4 p. m. Assisting with the services were Pres. Harold S. Snow and Counselor Coun-selor Vernon Worlhen of St. George, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Graff of Santa Clara. They sang. "O, My Father", and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives". All four spoke. There were also remarks re-marks by Mr. Charles. Prayers were by Vernon Worthen and Mr. Charles. Burial was in the Shev-wit Shev-wit cemetery, Counselor Worthen dedicating the grave. More than 200 Indian friends from Moapa, Cedar City, Kanosh and Moccasin were present for the services and the graveside weeping ceremony that followed. The group remained for three nights df ceremonies. Nellie Snow is the daughter of James and Ida Charles Snow, and a niece of Foster Charles. She graduated from the Sherman Institute In-stitute at Riverside, Calif., and has been employed in Nevada for an extended period. When she became be-came ill she was rushed to St. George for surgery. Surviving besides her parents are five sisters, Mrs. Selh Uush-ead, Uush-ead, Mrs. Joseph John, Mrs. Ray Moose and Mrs. Willie Fisher and one brother, Lee Snow. |
