Show BUNKERYILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary H. Leavitt Reporter Speakers on Sunday as home missionaries mis-sionaries were Harold Reber of Littlefield and Alfred Frehner of Mesquite. Bert Leavitt, as V-12 is home on a furlough from training at the University of California at Los Angeles. Pvt. Neil Leavitt, who has been transferred recently to the Las Vegas gunnery school spent Sunday Sun-day with his father, Washington Leavitt. His wife, the former Pauline Leavitt, will join him soon. She is in Idaho at present. SSgt. Lynn Adams has been home on furlough from Fort Knox, Ky. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Adams. In an assembly of the Virgin Valley high school student body, the new members of the Fireside Circle were initiated. They each took part in the program made up by their superior members. Singing, readings, skits and instrumental in-strumental music were part of the program. Roma Reber, a senior, is president of the Virgin Valley organization with Viena Reber as Vice President, and Frances Hawkins Haw-kins as secretary and treasurer. Two BuTikorviUe Girls Marry Miss Orla Leavitt and Sgt. Lynn R. Weeks were married in the St. George Temple on Friday, Oct. 13. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Leavitt of Bunkerville. Sgt. Weeks is stationed at Las Vegas in training. Miss Venna Leavitt and Pfc. J. D. Davis were married in Las Vegas, Oct. 19 by Justice of the Peace Warren Hardy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lem Leavitt. The groom is also in training at Las Vegas. Both couples were honored with wedding receptions with hosts of friends and relatives parlicipiating in the evening's entertainment. They wore presented with many beautiful and useful gifts. |
