Show Dixie College News Most of the pricipals for the college opera, "Priscilla", to be presented March 26 and 27, have been chosen, according to J. W. McAllister, who will direct the production. The ones selected to date are: Priscilla, Pearl Matheson; Barbara, Barb-ara, Wilma Earl; Resignation, Enid Webb; Faith, Laura Lytle; Prudence, Joyce Adams; Miles Standish, Clive Hartman; and John Alden, Junior Larkin. D JC Cleo Allen of Panguitch was elected president of the newly-formed newly-formed Home Economics club last week. Other officers are: Elaine Fallis, vice president; Lu-ana Lu-ana Lamb, secretary-treasurer; Leora Black, reporter; ' Vivian Prince, Alice Thompson, Norda Anderson, committee on constitution; constitu-tion; and Joyce Adams, Phyllis Holt, Kathleen Carpenter, committee com-mittee on finance. The club met Monday in its first regular meeting. Mrs. Anne Robinson and Miss Anneliese Bug-gert Bug-gert are the club sponsors. D JC The highlight of Social Hygiene week at the college was the illustrated illus-trated lecture by Dr. D. L. McGregor Mc-Gregor last Wednesday. He presented pre-sented plain facts to the students in a scientific way; they were well received and thoughtfully considered. More than 75 students and teachers participated in the program pro-gram sponsored by the health department de-partment of the college and taken to various clubs, organizations and schools. Leland Hafen, Ross Hardy, Roy A. Welker, Anneliese Buggert and Ruth Falck were in charge of the programs. and from Nelson, Nevada, where they have been visiting another daughter, Mrs.' Hal Bracken. Lew Bowler is working for the forest service. Mrs. Clive Bunker and three small children are home from Nelson, Nevada, for a short visit. Vaughn Jones is on the sick list. Missionaries in Sacrament meet ing on Sunday were George F. Miles and Guy Hafen. William Truman Sr., of Enterprise Enter-prise is visiting for several days at the home of his sister, Mrs. John H. Bowler. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Leavitt and family spent Sunday here from St. George. The farmers here are busy getting get-ting in their spring crops. |
