Show 1 Dixie Junior College Band To Present Annual Concert Monday The Dixie junior college band concert will be given in the college col-lege auditorium Monday at 8 p. m., according to Mrs. Stella Bleak, president of the Dixie Faculty Women's club, which is sponsoring sponsor-ing the program. The band has been working for several weeks to make this an outstanding event, say the sponsors. spon-sors. The program will be varied, consisting of classical and modern numbers by the 65-piece band, also ensemble selections. Funds derived from the concert will be used to purchase an oil painting to add to the college collection. col-lection. The picture will be selected se-lected from those exhibited during the recent Fine Arts Festival. The complete program follows: "University" Grand March by E. F. Goodman. The band consists of 63 members, mem-bers, to be augmented during the concert by Stanley Schmutz of the Woodward faculty and Dean A. Peterson of the college faculty. The former will play solo clarinet, the latter the tympani. Tickets may be obtained from, any of the faculty women. |
