Show Eighty Scouts Leaders Hold Scoutorama Feb. 8 HURRICANE, Utah. On Saturday, Satur-day, February 8, 80 Scouts and their leaders took part in a Scoutorama Scout-orama at LaVerkin. The afternoon after-noon was spent in Scout contests and some talent was evident. In knot-tying, the tenderfoot Scout was nearly as fast as the older Scouts, but when it came to the contest of fire by friction and fire by flint and 'steel, the older boys demonstrated that they had had considerable practice. At dusk, fires were lighted and the boys cooked their supper on the square. Afterward, a large fire was built in the square and a program held, ranging from an imitation of a model T Ford to some very fine singing. A radio had been provided, and at 8:15, the Scouts tuned in on KSL (Continued on page four) Scoutorama (Continued from first page) and joined the National Boy Scouts of America program. After this exercise, a court of honor was held in which the boys from five of the seven troops in this division di-vision received awards ranging from Tenderfoot badges to Star awards. The next court of honor was announced for sometime in March. A Scout leader training meeting meet-ing course will be held in the Zion Park seminary room on Feb-i ruary 15, at 10 a.m. |
