Show Enterprise Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter LaPrele Tait, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Tait of this place and Dick Banks of Miners-ville Miners-ville were married in Santa Clara on Thursday. A shower was given in their honor Monday in the Relief Society house. The bride received many nice gifts. Camilla Holt and her sister, Mrs. Jack Moyle went to Salt Lake City on Thursday. Miss Holt is to undergo a tonsillectomy while there and Mrs. Moyle will visit with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. John Z. Alger have returned from Oxnard, California Cali-fornia where they have been for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. La-Vell La-Vell Robinson brought them home on account of Mr. Alger's serious illness. Mr. Alger had a heart attack and at present is seriously ill. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Laub and family are here visiting with Mrs. Laub's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hunt and other relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gleason of Garland came Friday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. John Z. Alger. Mr. Gleason returned home on Saturday Satur-day and Mrs. Gleason plans to remain re-main here indefinitely. Orlene Day, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Day of this place and Grant Twitchell. son of Mrs. Nellie Twitchell, also of this place were married Tuesday in the St. George L. D. S. Temple. Dorothy Emmett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Emmett of Enterprise, and Jay Barlow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim Barlow, were married in the St. George L. D. S. Temple on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Barnard of Ojai. Calif., were visitors in town on Thursday and Friday. The M. I. A. held its opening session in the form of a social Tuesday evening. A program, consisting of a song by Doris Lip-pold, Lip-pold, a reading bv Beulah Staheli. and a duet bv Alta Truman and Heber Holt was rendered. The rest of the evening was spent in dancing. |
