Show Center Ward Holds First Temple Excursion On Wednesday, Sept. 18 By MABEL JAR VIS For the first time since its organization organ-ization the Center ward held an excursion to the Temple Wednesday, Wed-nesday, the , largest attendance since the opening day, Aug. 27, being reported, there being 'visitors 'visit-ors from other wards as well as members and officers of the Center Cen-ter ward. The speakers at the Assembly program at 9 a. m., included remarks re-marks by Bp. Byron Taylor and an intensely interesting talk by 92-year-old Ann C. J. Milne, who is here visiting for the first time since the restoration of her sight more than a year ago. Not only did she give uplifting thoughts to those who have afflictions and hardships, but she aroused keen interest in her capacity to remember re-member the places and objects she saw before her blindness and her recognition of changes where any have been made during these years She bore a steadfast testimony testi-mony of her faith in God and in his just dealings with mankind and gave much encouragement to those assembled. Pres. Harold S. Snow states that a definite schedule for ward and stake excursions will not be completed until the season's heavy farm work and other fall work is nearer completion. However, How-ever, he is encouraged with the gradually increasing attendance at the regular sessions and anticipates antici-pates there will be large companies com-panies as soon as the completion of fall work permits. |
