Show Sheriff Investigates Two Car Wrecks Tuesday Two wrecks, both investigated by Sheriff Antone Prince, occurred near the Indian Reservation on Tuesday, Sept. 17. One car, an Oldsmobile coupe driven by James John Boyd Jr., of Long Beach, Calif., was wrecked about two miles south of the Indian reservation. reser-vation. The wreck is believed to have been caused by the slippery roads, due to the rain. Walter Giddens and Werley Stanley, both of Long Beach, were passengers in the car. The three people were but slightly injured, while the car was badly mashed up. The other wreck, occurring about the same time as the first, happened about one and one-half one-half miles south of the Indian reservation. The car, a Lafayette sedan, was driven by William E. Hagge, also of San Bernardino. The car skidded on the rain-wet road, and was precipitated into a wash about 20 feet deep. Miss Brickner and Mr. Jones were both hurt, but Mr. Hagge escaped injury. |
