Show SANTA CLARA Santa Clara, Jan. 31. Clyde Graff and Mervin Reber are putting in about 25 acres of vegetables. They bought Ernest Rebers farm. Their onion sets are just ready now to be planted out. Everybody wishes them good luck in their undertaking. A large steam shovel went through our town Monday morning, it was taken tak-en up on the road, where the work is already commenced. The Green and Gold ball was given by the Mutual Improvement Association Associa-tion last Friday night. Prizes were given to the best waltzers. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gubler from Ivins won the prize of the married folks and LaZelle Stucki and Miss Bessie Atkin won the prize of the single folks. A good time was reported. Mr. and Mrs. Lou Adams of Little-field, Little-field, Ariz., are spending a few weeks here, at the home of Mr. and. Mrs. Lorenzo Leavitt. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Fordham spent Sunday here. Mr. Fordham spoke in our sacrament meeting. -He gave us some real good instructions. Clark Orton of Parowan spent the week end here visiting with his father-in-law, Jacob Laub and other relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Reber left for Summit Springs today where Mrs. Reber will run the cook shack for the surveyors and their wives. |
