Show HURRICANE LOCALS Lafe Hall has commenced the plastering plas-tering of his new home. George Hinton of La Verkin was in town on business Monday. Alma and Dan Hirschi of Rockville were in town Monday. Arch Ballard of Grafton was here on business Saturday. W. B. Hamblin of Kanab was in town Monday. Dell Beams of Virgin was here on business Monday. Thaddeus Fulmer has been at Wilson's Wil-son's ranch the past week laboring. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Wood have two very sick children with pneumonia. Quite a large force of men commenced com-menced work on the sewer system Monday. Leo A. Snow is here engineering work in connection with the sewer system. sys-tem. "Home Ties" was presented at Springdale Saturday night by our primary and here again Monday night. Joseph Webb and wife of St. George came here Saturday to locate rooms to rent and returned again the same day. Mrs. Annie Webb accompanied them. Our ball team played Beaver Friday the score was 48 to 19 in favor of Hurricane. Hur-ricane. They played Cedar Saturday, the score being 66 to 14 in favor of Hurricane. V J. W. Imlay went to Cedar City Sunday Sun-day to bring his son Fenton home from the hospital where he had been operated upon for an abscess on the knee. The small son of Earl Englestead had a very serious attack of poison from eating cherries with the stones in them, which some children had given nun one day last week. Thursday evening the dramatic art class under the direction of Mrs. Mat-tie Mat-tie Ruesch, the instructor, will present pre-sent a program consisting of a couple of two-act plays, the proceeds to go to the genealogical committee. |
