Show SCOUT NEWS The 18th aniversary of the founding found-ing of scouting in America will be fittingly fit-tingly observed in St. George the coming com-ing week. On Sunday evening, February Feb-ruary 5, a public court of honor meeting meet-ing will be held in the tabernacle. A special program has been arranged. On Wednesday, February 8. a special spe-cial scouting picture will be given at the Electric theatre. Local scout men have made arrangements with the management of this theatre whereby the three troops of St. George will obtain a part of the funds taken in at the door for this production. The funds so raised will be used to help the troops with their camping program. pro-gram. The picture selected is "The Knights of the Square Table," a four reel film depicting every phase of Scout life. In this story there are bits of humor, touches of pathos and plenty of thrills. B. Glen Smith, of the local central committee, selected the film and he recommends it very highly. The film will be shown at a matinee Wednesday afternoon at four o'clock, and at this time there will also be a comedy shown. In the evening eve-ning a special feature film will be shown in addition to the scouting picture. pic-ture. On Thursday night the three St. George troops will meet in a district rally. Scouting events will be featured, fea-tured, and the boys will participate in a variety of games. Troop 430, under the direction of their scoutmaster, B. Glen Smith, hiked to the Watercress Springs last Saturday. Outdoor scouting events were enjoyed. Many tests were passed. |
