Show SPRINGDALE Springdale, Jan. 30. Most of the Springdale homes were lit with electricity elec-tricity Jan. 18, the rest were connected to the line on the next day. A dance was given in the Ward hall Jan. 19 in honor of that occasion and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. A large crowd attended. Mr. and Mrs. John Gifford are the proud parents of a girl boin Jan. 30; all concerned doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Lemmon of St. George were visitors here Sunday. Elders Jones and Lee of St. George were home missionaries here last week. The Hurricane Dramatic club put on a play here in the Ward hall last Saturday Sat-urday evening. William Whitney of Parowan is a business visitor in town. Edwin Stout of Hurricane was a visitor here Sunday. John Winder is out on Lost Spring mountain cutting wood while D. W. Lemmon is hawling it for the U. P. camp in Zion Canyon. Stout is also helping Mr. Lemmon. The only case of scarletina is fast improving no new cases have developed. develop-ed. We hope none do. |
