Show Ballard Tellntha Rasmussen Phone 722-4875 1 New family in Ballard Granger and Ruth Williams from Arizona and their five children have come to Ballard to live. They will build their home on Independence Road 2'2 miles south of U.S. 40 by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rolla Williams. He works in construction. Visitors for the past week at the Beatrice Lundberg home are her five grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Joe White's children from Salt Lake City. Denny Serra from San Diego, Calif., is here visiting at her sister's, the Tommy Collins home. She will be here l-. months. Paul Squires has a new daughter, born June 15 at their home. She weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz. and was named Jennalee June. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Grant Belts and Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Squires of Sandy. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Reed McConkie of Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Hancock of West Valley City were here for the class reunion of 1942 from Union High. It was held at Bottle Hollow last Saturday evening. A program was held and they spent the evening visiting., Mr. and . . Mrs. Dan Burdick came the furthest for the occasion and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Hancock has the most children with 10. Sunday the Hancocks visited their relatives, the Orlo Spencers and Telintha Rasmussen. Visitors at the Ralph McMullin home last week were grandchildren, Randy and Lori O'Neil of Castle Dale, Norma O'Neil of Price. Dian Phillips, who has been in the Lake View Hospital in Bountiful for the past two months is recovering and will be able to return home soon. Her mother, Clella, has been with her most of the time. Blake Rasmussen, who was seriously hurt when the water truck he was driving rolled over several times. He is in the LDS hospital and still in intensive care, but is recovering. . Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Aumiller went to Grand Junction and then on to Debee, Colo., and visited Gordon's sister and family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller went to Mena, Arkansas recently to attend a Miller reunion. There were nearly 300 in attendance. They spent one week. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Rasmussen and four sons vacationed for 1 week in Idaho Falls visiting relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Spencer and daughters, Morlena and K. Lynn were in Salt Lake City recently. They took Morlena for a checkup on her leg she hurt some time ago in gymnastics at school, also to get some things they needed for their new home that is nearing completion on the west side of Roosevelt, near to Dr. Bulo., home. Orlo and Janet Spencer attended the Dallas Spencer family reunion held in Lapoint at the Ramussen Pavalion. Glen Spencer was in charge of the activities. A program was held. Some genealogy and family histories exchanged ex-changed and an auction was held to make more money for genealogy work. It was reported that all of the four generation group sheets had been turned in to the Church July 1. Carol Huntzinger and five children ,from Hayward, Calif., spent 10 days here with her mother, Telintha Rasmussen. Also, Norman and Nedra Rasmussen and five children from Upland, Calif., were here for 4 days. A family dinner was held at the Heber Rasmussen home where 24 were in attendance. The Gary Petersons have finished remodeling their home on Indian Bench and rented it to Mr. and Mrs. Clarin Brandt and family. The Brandts are from Morgan. SharLynn Benson of Ballard is now Justice of the Peace for the West Side of Uintah County. Richard Perry resigned his post. Mrs. Benson filled in for Mr. Perry in his absence and the commissioners com-missioners felt she was qualfied. She will serve for the rest of his term which is J':. years. Recently, a lleaton reunion was held at the Venlen lleaton home. There were R2 who attended for 2 days. Some of the activities were a hay ride at Bottle Hollow and a weiner roast, also a rodeo. Those who attended from out of the Basin were Mr. and Mrs. Jim lleaton, Mr. and Mrs. James lleaton and family from Reams; Mr. and Mrs. Klder lleaton and family and Mr. and Mrs. LaMoinoe lleaton and family all from Salt Lake City. Aaron Rasnuissen's horse, Issues Kxcuse, who was running the the races in Denver, was sold in a claiming race. He was second in the race. Ronald Asuy, who has been in the University Hospital for some time because of an automobile accident, was able to come home to Bridgeland last Sunday to bless his new son. Ron returned to the hosital for more therapy. His mother, Carma, returned with him and will stay ten days. Ron is LaVell's son. Bob Clark and family have gone to Salt Lake Citv. He received word that his grandfather was ill. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gardner were in a car accident on the Maeser Corner in Vernal recently. Dan wasn't hurt, but his wife's neck was broken. She was taken to the University Hospital in Salt Lake City where she was operated on. She will be coming home soon. Dan is Earl Gardiner's son. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marett of Price are moving to Neola to live. Lee will be teaching school at Roosevelt Jr. High. They plan on building a home in Neola. Mrs. Marett is Karl Shisler's daughter. |
