LARRY C. MCKIMMEY Richens and McKimmey exchange wedding vows Sandra Lee Richens and Larry C. McKimmey were married July 1 in the Roosevelt-Ballard Ward chapel. Bishop Leavitt performed the double ring ceremony. The bride's brother, Frank Richens, gave the bride away. Verda Mae Mortensen played the wedding march. The bride's parent is Ina K. Richens, Fort Duchesne. The groom's parent is Matlie McKimmey, Missouri. After the wedding a dinner was held in the church. A reception was held that evening from 8 to 11. For the wedding and reception the bride wore a satin dress with an empire waist. Lace sleeves and neckline accented ac-cented the dress. The waist length veil was held by a miniture crown. The bride carried a bouquet of lavender and white daisies. The bride's mother and grandmothers grand-mothers wore a lavender A-line dresses with a white daisy and lavender bud corsages. Matron of honor, Shirley Bussard and bridesmaid, Pauline Richens, the bride's sister, wore lavender dresses with white and lavender daisies as their bouquets. The best man was Jeff Luke, accompanied ac-companied by Terry Bussard as an usher. The ring bearer was Jeff McKimmey. Others who helped were Penny Christensen at the guest book,; Eula Von Larsen, Faye Muir and Lorraine Farnsworth in the gift room. The gift bearers were Brian Bussard, Shane Richens, Jeff McKimmey and James Kettle. Joann Bussard, Tonya Richens and Debra Nyberg served. Working in the kitchen were Agnes Birtcher, Lena Tanner, Fola Morrill, Peggy Morrill, Jean Kettle and Virginia Fenn. Vionne Parrish acted as the MC for the program. Ranee Womack played a piano solo. Roy Anderson sang several songs and Verna Mae Mortensen played a piano solo. The four tiered cake was decorated in the bride's colors with doves and roses. A water fall and bride and groom complimented the cake. Out of town guests were from Idaho, Arizona and various parts of Utah. The couple will make their home in Roosevelt. bring about the community improvements. im-provements. Some local projects in the past have included developing a women's resource center, starting a day care center, and development of a young mother's vocational program. AAUW members also become involved in studying local, state and national legislative issues, developing legislative strategies and lobbying on behalf of the needs and concerns of women. AAUW provides the opportunity for women to continue their intellectual development, develop talents and expand skills, make valuable contributions con-tributions to the community and develop friendships with other educated women. Services to members include resource libraries, insurance programs, assistance in upgrading job , skills, scholarhips for advances study and research grants. An organizational meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the Vernal Library for the purpose of electing officers and planning Charter Night.
