Show Recital held at Country Meadows The sounds of "Twinkle and Variations" could be heard throughout the neighborhood as thirty-three Country Meadows Suzuki Music Students entertained approximately one hundred friends and relatives at a garden recital on Wednesday, July 29 at the school. The recital featured piano, violin, viola and cello students of Ora Fay Oviatt, Marjean Oviatt, Jack Ashton, Catherine Robbins and Karl Lee. Piano students performing were: Shannon Serre, Twinkle and Variations; Marcie Galley, Go Tell Aunt Rhodie, A Clair de Lune, Long Long Ago; Amberly Carroll, Twinkle and Variations; Danielle Burningham, Honey Bee; Jessie Poff, Cuckoo; Josh Haakinson, Play Mates, Chant Arabe; Joelle Oviatt, Happy Farmer; Fawn Perry, French Folk Song; Rachelle Perry, Cuckoo; Jennifer Scott, Twinkle and Variations; Nathan Burningham, Twinkle Variation No. 1; Courtney and Jane Pierce, Cuckoo; Jeremy Haakinson, French Children's Song; Maria Van Tassle, Twinkle Variation No. 1; Colleen Bell, Musette, Allegro, Christmas Day Secrets; Nichole Van Tassle, Twinkle and Variations; Merietta Oviatt, Lightly Row; Kaleb Thomas, Twinkle Variaiton No. 3. Violin students performing were: Jerry Brewer, Twinkle Variation 3 and 4; Laura Terry, Joe Ylincheta and Bradly Witbeck, Pre-Twinkle Demonstration; Garrett Oleen, Lightly Row, Grizz Oleen, Twinkle Variation No. 1; Raymond Terry, Lighly Row; Brian Kidwell, Twinkle Variation No' 1; Jennifer Oleen, Song of the Wind; Chris Ylincheta, O Come Little Children; Merietta Oviatt, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star; Corey Hackford, Allegro, Perpetual Per-petual Motion; Philip Oviatt, Bouree' by Handel. Cello students performing were: Erik Burfitt, French Folk Song; Marjene Oviatt, Minuet by Boccerini. Viola student, Joelle Oviatt played Streets of Laredo. A special guest at the recital was Aki Masayuma from Osaka, Japan, who is a Labo-4-H Exchange student staying with Marjean Oviatt for the summer. Aki played a tonette solo, Whispering Hope. Refreshments were served by the Cooking Cousins 4-H Club. Country Meadows is now in recess until Sept. 8. |
