Show ' Lapoint Lois Rasmussen 247-2475 Huber-Kirk wedding held in Lapoint A lovely wedding and reception was held in the Lapoint Ward Chapel for Douglas and Marie Huber Kirk Friday, Aug. 1. The marriage was performed by Stake President, Nyle Bigelow, Vernal. Marie is the daughter of Glen and Shirley Huber, Lapoint, and Douglas is the son of Gene and Rachele Kirk of Vernal. The couple plan to make their home in Vernal. Alice Clerico and daughter Valerie attended an open house at the Ashley-Maeser Ashley-Maeser 3rd Ward honoring Elaine Davis and Lewis Freestone. Darrel and Mary Lou Huber are the grandparents of a baby girl born to their daughter Shelley July 27 in the Vernal hospital. She will be named Lacey. Granddaughter, Hope, and grandsons, grand-sons, Justin and Travis Hill, of Battle Mountain, Nevada, are here visiting with the Darrel Hubers for a month. Jim and Elizabeth Esplin traveled to Salt Lake City to pick up their missionary son, Vernon, who returned home from Hawaii after two years on Oahu and Molokai where he served in the Leper Colony. He will be attending the University of I'tah this fall. Kit Richards and daughter Tami of Santa Barbara, Calif., have been visiting Jim and Karen Frescus in Lapoint. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Farnsworth of Thornton, Colo, visited with Laris and June Woolley this past weekend after having spent nearly a week at Navajo east of Cedar City. Jay and Lois Hartle traveled to Richfield Rich-field to visit the Max Hartle family and also to see Max's son play on the All-Star All-Star Little League baseball team. They also visited Navajo Lake while in that part of Utah. Kelly and Larae Brown and family are home from a trip to Disneyland. Universal Sudios in Los Angeles; Knotts Berry Farm. Tijuana, Mexico. Grand Canyon in Arizona and Las Vegas. ' " ' Earl and Mae Warburton went to Vernal Sunday, Aug. 2 for the blessing of their son, Nyle's, baby girl, Rebecca, born July 6. Dennis and Deon Harvey came from Sunset for the blessing of their grandson grand-son Bruce Jaren. son of Bruce and Gayle Allred Harvey Sun.. Aug 2. Paul and Barbara Harvey, Sunset, came also for the same occasion. All were here for the baptism and confirmation into the LDS church of Brett Rascom, son of Glen and Ixiuise Bascom. The Elvyn Bascoms, Roosevelt, came for Brett's confirmation Sunday. Kent and Karen Bascom visited Glen and Louise Bascom after their week-long week-long trip to Bear Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Allred of Sparks, Nevada and Susan Tracy and family of Sandy were visiting George and Elna Allred. They came for the blessing of Bruce and Gavin Harvey's son; also to visit family and relatives. The Jenkins family, of which the Ronald Horrocks family is a part, held a family reunion Saturday at Roosevelt City Park. There were 80 in at tendance. Frank Jenkins and Ella Carr of Craig, Colo., spent Saturday night and Sunday at the home of Ronald and Merle Horrocks. -"k |
