University energy researchers and state energy officials will address a wide range of topics at the one day conference, con-ference, including tar sands and oil shale development; energy conservation conserva-tion techniques and analysis; speciali.- t'tl uranium extraction; coal liquefaction liquefac-tion and falsification potential; and solar energy, biomass and wind energy. t)ther scheduled speakers include Kartell C. Jensen, chairman of the State Advisory Council on Science and Technology; Dr. James W. Hunger, research assistant professor of fuels engineering and state science advisor; State Sen. Clade M. Sowards, chairman of the Knergy Conservation und Development Council; Jack Lyman, deputy director, Department of Natural Resources and Energy; Dr. Milton K. VVadsworth, associate dean, College of Mines and Mineral Industries and professor pro-fessor of metallurgy; James Byrne, director of the Utah Energy Office; and Dr. Robert Roehm, professor and chairman chair-man of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
