Mr and Mrs. Ivan Huntzinger of American Fork visited briefly at the Telintha Rasmussen home. They were 1 their way to Flaming Gorge to fish. Sandra Lee, daughter of the late May and Ina Richens and Larry McKimmey, son of Mattie and the late Raymond McKimmey, Kansas City, Missouri, will be married July 1 in the Roosevelt 1st Ward Chapel at 6 p.m. A reception will follow. They are not I sending invitations, but say everyone is :: welcome. Sandra is now working in Salt ' Lake City and Larry is the pharmicist at the B & K Drug Store and the r Duchesne County Hospital. They will i? make their home in Roosevelt. t;;. Last Saturday, Cecil Jenkins haystack caught on fire just west of his old home. Before the fire department got there it caught the old home on fire ; and it burned down. The trailer in front s, of the old home was saved. Deputy i Sheriff LaRose was living there. No one was hurt, but very little was saved from the home. s' Carma Asay was home from the : University hospital in Salt Lake City during the weekend. She returned Monday morning. She reported her son Ron will be in the hospital for at least , several more weeks. Ron was hurt in an :! automobile accident ten days ago. His wife and mother-in-law are also with him. Last week Myra Cook flew from the Salt Lake airport to Altanta, Georgia to stay for awhile with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Geddus Hullinger. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Page have their first baby born June 13 at the Duchesne County Hospital. She weighed seven pounds and was named Shirley Sue. ': Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don : Truman of Roosevelt and Mr. and Mrs. : Zane Asay, who are serving an LDS ' mission in the Samoa Islands. Mark and Mary Kettle have returned home from a two-week vacation to Madison, Wisconsin where they visited Mary's parents, Archie and Hellon ' Thayer. Also enroute they visited Carthage and Nauvoo, Illinois and Independence, Missouri. William Calhoun, age 71, passed away at the Stewart Convalescent Center Saturday, June 6. Mr. Calhoun had been at the center three months. His son brought him here from Haggerman, Idaho and he was taken tack to Haggerman for burial. Mr. and Mrs. Calhoun used to live in Ballard. His wife, Esther, taught school at Alterra. Guests at the home of Beatrice Lundberg for the past week were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Landreth and five children of Las Vegas, Nevada. While here they did some fishing at Pole Creek. Mrs. Landreth is a niece of Beatrice. She lived in Ballard years ago by the name of Shirley Winn. Mr. and Mrs. Gil Burkman had weekend guests from Salt Lake City, . and Mrs. Dennis Ashton and four children. Gil and Dennis were childhood friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brisbin attended graduation exercises of their grandson, Randy Bill Birch last wkend at Utah State University, "andy will spend the summer in Vernal with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Udell Bn, next fall he will attend law school at the University of Utah. ganger and Ruth Williams and Jodi, .
