She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Slaugh of Jensen. She plays her grandmother's . lovely old violin which was made in Czechoslovakia. Suzanne is in Catherine Day's section. The students of the month played a synocpated version of "Twinkle Little Star" and "Long Long Ago" to win their titles. Philip Oviatt, fifth grader at Maeser Elementary, won the advanced orchestra or-chestra practice award with 192 hours. The Vernal Youth Orchestra II presented a recital for parents and special guests Thursday, March 28 in the band room of Vernal Junior High School. Soloists for the recital were Philip Oviatt, Kyle Cox, Joelle Oviatt, and Marjean Oviatt. Each soloist was accompanied on the piano by Ora Fay Oviatt, director. |
