Show Reunion held for the Deans family The Deans family reunion was held July 18, 19, and 20 at the Range Study area, by Flaming Gorge. Officers elected for the following year were sustained as follows: president, Lonnie Deans; vice-president, Nola Fortine; and secretary, Lauren (Deand) Can-natella. Can-natella. Those attending the reunion were: Nola and Archie Fortine, Frankie and George (Blaine) Stone, Kay and Mike Bergfeld and family, Billy and Pearl Cook and family, Darroll and Brenda Deans and family, Lonnie and son, Joseph Deans, Lauren (Deans) Can-narella Can-narella and Tracy Deans, Jim and Marge Deans and Red and Marge Deans. A lamb was donated by Nola and Archie Fortine and drinks were furnished fur-nished by Lonnie and Bill. The main meal was held about 3 p.m. Everyone brought a pot luck dish. The family meeting was held at 4 p.m. at which time a 13 pound turkey was raffled off and gifts were auctioned off. Afterwards games were played by the children and adults alike. Jim Deans played the guitar and was ac companied by Archie Fortine on the harmonica around the campfire. It was put to a vote and decided to hold the reunion at a different location next year. The site chosen was Kane Hollow. Also, it was decided to have the reunion date moved to the last weekend in June for next year. |
