Show ' ' ' DELORES SYMES dies of cancer. Cancer victim interned in Vernal Cemetery Funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Vernal 1st Ward LDS Chapel for Delores Osiek Symes, who died of cancer in an Elko, Nevada Hospital. July 24. ' The services were under the direction of Bishop Vaughn Francis with family prayer by Ronald Anderson. Prelude and postlude music was played by Florence Lee. The opening musical, "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose" was by , Gwen Williams. Shirley Ainge offered invocation. Art Boren was the speaker with remarks and obituary by Bishop Francis. "Bend in the River" was the other musical. It was sung by Jay Slaugh. Bill Haws pronounced the benediction. Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary. Dedication of the grave was by Don Anderson. Pallbearers were Leslie, Densil, Glen, Bob Osiek; Dave and Henry White. The Vernal 1st Ward Relief Society was in charge of the flowers and lunch. Mrs. Symes, 52, of Lamoille, Nevada was born July 28, 1927 in Vernal to Louis F. Osiek and Rose Larsen Osiek; married Donald Barrett, in Provo; he died; married Enoch J. Scott, Vernal; divorced: Robert K. Symes, August 18, . 1908 in Elko; was a homemaker and a member of the LDS Church. Survivors are husband of Elko: one son two daughters. Dick Scott, Vernal; Mrs. Larry (Kenna Dawn) Ebert, Bassett. Nebraska: Mrs. Steven (Donna Jean) Judd. Alamosa, Colorado: eight grandchildren; parents of Vernal four brothers, three sisters: Densil, Kearns, UT: Leslie, Sunset, UT.: Glen, Bountiful; Mrs. Donald (Melba) Boothe. Riverton, UT.; Bob, Mrs. Ronald (Kaye) Anderson, and Mrs. Henry (Betty) White, all of Vernal. |
