Show Local jeans shop acquires new owner Dinah Jeans and Things of Vernal is under new ownership and management as of August 1. Ken James and Marilyn James have purchased the 43 South Vernal Ave. shop. We plan to expand the inventory in the near future said Mrs. James who will manage the shop At the present time there will be no changes in the hours which are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. We do have some special sales starting today, Thursday, with a new owner sale. We plan a grand opening in September, she added. Mr. James is employed with Colorado Interstate Gas Co. The family including, Ken, Marilyn and daughter , Brenna,3, have been Vernal residents for approximately V'- years, transferring trans-ferring from southeastern Colorado. They are interested in snow skiing, golfing and Mrs. James enjoys macrame, rugs and sewing. "Ken, who is the owner, will continue working for Colorado Interstate Gas," said Marilyn, "while I manage the shop. We would like to invite everyone to come in and get acquainted and are looking forward to serving the public," she added.
