' - , ' The citizens of Elko, Nev., will get together to-gether this week on the proposition to have a railroad line built frm that point to the mineral belt in what is known as the Bald Mountain district. Bald Mountain Moun-tain is one of the liveliest mining regions in the Sagebrush State, and despite the fact that the operators in that neck of the woods have been handicapped by bad weather and bad roads, active work has been going on throughout the winter sea-. sea-. son. . Under the management of C. D. Calvin Cal-vin more than 4000 feet of development work has been done on the Copper Basin properties. The grade of the product pro-duct is of sufficient .value to warrant its elng hauled to Elko and there placed on the cars for shipment here. About eighty miners are employed on this property and morcire being put to work as fast as they fan be Induced to go to work. Three -wagons have been kept busy all winter hauling supplies into these mines and loading tip with ore on the return trip - to the railroad station at Elko. Mine supplies, sup-plies, such as cars and steel track, are at the station now awaiting transportation transporta-tion to the mine.
