Only Two Regulars Return To Bolster Viking Eleven PLEASANT GROVE, Sept. 19 Pleasant Grove's football star, which has been in the ascendancy for the past two years, bringing the Vikings-out of comparative obscurity to the position posi-tion of a force to be reckoned with, is shining even more brigtly this season, according to Coach Earl Giles. team In the huddle. Conway Is flanked by experienced guards In Austin Dlttmre and Lowe Howard. At right tackle is Donald Hendrick-sen, Hendrick-sen, another regular from last year. For the other tackle position the strongest contender appears to be Wallace Hall, who is taking to the game well, although this is his firat year in a suit. This combination gives the Vikings Vik-ings a senior line with the exception excep-tion of end post, which will likely be filled by Byron Carter, a junior jun-ior letterman, and Merrill Beck, a senior first-yesr grldder. Reserves include Kenneth Ner-din, Ner-din, a fine punter; LaVar Ash, a senior tackle; Kenneth Wright, guard; El Roy West and Earl 8. Berk, ends, the last three being sophomores. Although he lost 11 lettermen,' including nine regulars, Giles has a squad heavier than previous Viking Vik-ing teams, composed of some fast, rangy backs and husky linemen who are subbed by some fine reserve re-serve material. Around Morley Keetch, hard-hitting fullback and only letterman ball carrier, Giles has built a back-field back-field that should go good against Region Three competition. In half-bark half-bark roles are El wood Sundberg. hefty junior; Kelly Giles, a rangy triple threat sophomore, and Dale Devereaux, a hard-driving senior who fills the tailback post. For reserve strength the Vikings Vik-ings have lined up Leland Baxter, a letterman of last year who alternates al-ternates at fullback and tackle; Lynn Smith, a fast-stepping junior who is pushing for a regular tailback tail-back berth, and a couple of sophomore soph-omore halfbacks, Keith Bezzant and Grant Fowles.
