Show KSL MAY MAKE LICENSEAPPEAL The Aadio Service Corporation of Utah, owners of radio station KSL, may apply direct to the federal fed-eral communications commission for a license to operate an International Inter-national short-wave station, Ivor Sharp, director of stations for the company, said Tuesday. Mr. Sharp said negotiations to acquire the license of station W9XAA, owned and operated by the Chlcaco Federation of Labor, were dropped when the commie, sloa refused to renew the license or give the owners permission to sell to the Utah corporation. In refusinc the application, the commission announced tha station had been operating too infrequently infre-quently to warrant renewing the license, and said the station permit per-mit was open to anyone who could fulfill the requirements. Radio Service Corporation of Utah Is owned by the U D. S. church. |
