Show READS LIKE A ROMANCE Denver Girls Strike It Rich in Goldfleld Mining Min-ing Property. DENVER, Colo., Dec t. Wealth, uch as they never dreamed of, has fallen into the laps of two of Denver's young women. The fortunate ones are Miss Edna Hopkins, telephone operator at the Colorado Fuel and Iron company's com-pany's office, and Miss Anna Rand, stenographer at the Big Five Mining company. ' Last summer, when there was a great deal: of talk about the wonderful Gold-field Gold-field discoveries, the young women became be-came Interested In the subject and in a spirit of fun took a "flyer." Later, when the reports were more favorable, they Invested more and now they find themselves wealthy. 1 They do not know the exact figures, but It Is believed that each Is worth at least $100,000. Other local beneficiaries beneficia-ries by the strike are J. S. Temple, J. P. Doftsup, Charles M. Wadsworth and George S. Rudd. These gentlemen and the two ladles now comprise a company com-pany which owns the Sandstorm claim, assays from which show that the vein will run $3000 to (50.000 per ton. |
