Show CARRY OFF DIAMONDS VALUED AT $T000 NEW YORK. Dec. 1. Thieves carried off 17000 worth of diamonds and Jewelry from the home of Miss Margaret Wins low on Maple avenue, Morristown, N. J., and there Is no clue to the burglars. It Is evident that the thieves had learned of the customs in Miss Winslow's house. The front and rear doors are never bolted until she retires for the night. The robbery took place while Miss Wins-low Wins-low was at dinner. At 10:30. her hour for retiring, she found her room locbed on the inside. When she succeeded in getting in she discovered her loss. Something had evidently scared the thieves away, for they had left a dozen rings, worth 11500, in a case, two gold watches and a large sum of money in bills. Among the articles taken was a diamond sunburst worth $2500, a diamond and pearl necklace, with several pendants and earrings-Miss earrings-Miss Wlnslow Is very wealthy and moves in the most exclusive society of Morris-town. |
